Day 2: Ignorance and Evangelism
Day 2: Ignorance and Evangelism
Father, give us a burden for the lost. Open our eyes to the spiritual needs of those around us. Equip us with Your Spirit to be effective witnesses, sharing the good news of Jesus with clarity and compassion. Amen.
- Scripture: Matthew 27:30, Romans 10:14-17
- Devotional:
The soldiers who beat and spat upon Jesus acted out of ignorance. They did not know Him. This highlights a critical aspect of our Christian walk: the urgency of evangelism. As the sermon pointed out, "Ignorance of the law is no excuse." Similarly, ignorance of the Gospel will not excuse anyone on the Day of Judgment.
We have a responsibility to share the truth of Jesus Christ with those who are lost in darkness. Our hearts should break for the ignorant, and we should be motivated to intentionally reach out to them with the life-saving message of salvation. Let us be bold in proclaiming the Gospel, trusting that God will use our efforts to draw people to Himself.- Application: Identify one person in your life who doesn't know Christ. Pray for them specifically this week, asking God for an opportunity to share the Gospel with them, either directly or through an act of service that demonstrates Christ's love.
Father, give us a burden for the lost. Open our eyes to the spiritual needs of those around us. Equip us with Your Spirit to be effective witnesses, sharing the good news of Jesus with clarity and compassion. Amen.
